Meet the Band

Q. If we book Sunshinedaze, do we need to send a deposit and will we receive a contract?

A. Yes.We usually take a deposit for £200 and all Sunshinedaze bookings are contracted.

Q. How long do we play?

A. Depending on what you require but generally 2 x 60mins for either the evening function and 2 x 50mins for the reception. Obviously if you book for the full day package we would play both.We are very flexible ,it’s up to you how we split playing times.

Q. How much do we cost?

A. We would need some information to give you an accurate quote i.e. where and when the event is to take place and rough timings- if you’ve got that far in your planning!
Please note you are dealing with us direct and not an agency therefore you will be saving a 15-20% commission (added to our fee)which you would have to pay if you did book us though one of these other sources.

We offer several packages hopefully to suit all budgets.But can taylor any of these to suit you.

Solo Sax – Smooth Jazz,Ballads and Chill-Out / Cafe Del Mar at your reception drinks or during your meal.
Plus Sunshinedaze live performance for your evening function.

Plus background music and Pre recorded Disco to finish off your evening.

Premier

Solo Sax or Piano during Ceremony (i.e. : register signing)

Plus 3 piece live band performance during your reception drinks or meal playing Smooth Jazz ,Ballads and Chill-Out / Cafe Del Mar.

Plus Sunshinedaze live performance for your evening function.

Plus pre recorded background music during your meal.

Plus your own tailored Disco.We do require all your songs sent in advance to mix down in our studio.

Basically it’s up to you you and your budget, we can taylor ourselves’s to suit your day with extra musicians’s and flexible playing times.

Q. Do you provide Sound and Lighting?

A. All Sunshinedaze performances are supported with high quality sound and lighting to create the right ambience for every occasion.

Q. I’m a bit worried about volume?

A. We play as loud or as quiet as we feel the event necessitates,however volume is very subjective so communication between the bandleader and organizer is essential.

Q. Can we provide Live Music during the reception or meal?

A. Yes. We can supply anything from Solo Chill-out Sax up to a Four Piece Band with sax,guitar,piano and percussion its entirely up to you and your budget.

Q. Can we supply live music for your ceremony( i.e.: whilst guests wait for the bride to arrive and during the signing of the register)

A. Yes. But we would need advance notice to enable us to learn the songs.

Q. Do you Provide Music during your intervals?

A. Yes, we provide pre-recorded background and dance music during the intervals when the band is not normally performing.( & during dinner if required) this creates a continuous flow of music throughout the event.
However if you require music after the band’s final set we would require a small fee. This would be nominal compared to a separate Disco hire.

Q.Do we need to feed you?

A. Unless otherwise agreed at the time of confirmation refreshments are up to the discretion of the client,although a fed and watered band is a happy band!

Q. Do we supply a Disco?

A.Yes.This is pre recorded therefore no request’s are taken on the evening. However we can personalize this for you if you send your requested songs for the evening function in good advance we will make you a customised mix which you can take with you at the end of the event as a memory of your day.

Q. Do the band play Special Requests?

A.Yes .For example if wedding clients have a favorite song that you would like us to play for your “first dance” we should be able to accommodate .However we would require as much notice as possible and some songs may not suit our line up of instruments.We will always do our best to help out.

Q. Can we choose what music you play?

A. Whilst we encourage clients to give us an idea of the types of music they like,we discourage those that might wish to specifically choose our eventual play list.

We are happy to include your personal song choices within our usual sets,but prefer to assume final control over the music we perform.

We are a busy and successful band and attribute this not only to our musicianship,but also to our “tried & tested” repertoire which always keeps the dance floor full.

Q. Are you Insured for Public Performance?

A. Yes.We have £10m of Public Liability Insurance Cover for every booking.For your ultimate peace of mind.

Q. Is your equipment PAT tested?

A. Yes.all of our equipment is PAT tested.

Q. Do you have a Promotional CD?

A.Yes we do have and will post out on your request.

Q. Where are you based and do you have any restrictions as to where you will travel to perform?

A.We are based in the North East of England,but will travel throughout the UK and Worldwide.

Q. Can we come and see you play ‘ live’?

A. You can,however as most of our engagements are now private events,permission to attend is at the discretion of our clients.
